Agriculture

 

The emphasis is however in agriculture. Foremost is cattle rearing (stockbreeding): horse breeding (for riding animals), sheep (for wool and meat) and beef (for leather, milk and meat). The warm climate and good irrigation canals make possible the cultivation of cotton, tobacco, grains, silk, poppy, sugar beet, various fruits and vegetables.
